WHAT IS CALISTHENICS?

Calisthenics is a unique sport that incorporates several dance expressions including ballet, acrobatics, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, and gymnastics all in one! A team of students learn choreographed routines set to music and perform these routines on stage at competitions and concerts. Unique to Australia, calisthenics blends sport and art, offering a holistic development experience. It enhances physical growth, coordination, self-discipline, and teamwork while fostering an appreciation for music, rhythm, precise technique, and the excitement of performance.
